Streaming TV is how most of us watch our favorite shows, movies and live events. If you have Apple TV, the Spectrum TV® App brings live TV and On Demand content together in one easy-to-use place.
This guide walks through how to get started with the Spectrum TV App on Apple TV, how to watch live TV and On Demand content and how features like Pause Live TV work so you can stream with confidence.
Before you begin, make sure your Apple TV is connected to the Internet and updated to the latest version of tvOS. Then you’re ready to download.
- Open the App Store on Apple TV
- Search for Spectrum TV App
- Select Download and wait for the app to install
Once installed, the app will appear on your Apple TV home screen for easy access.
When you open the Spectrum TV App for the first time, you’ll be prompted to sign in using your Spectrum username and password. You’ll also need an active Spectrum TV® subscription and Spectrum Internet® to stream content.
After signing in, the app automatically loads your available channels and On Demand content based on your TV plan.
The Spectrum TV App on Apple TV is designed to feel familiar and easy to navigate, especially if you already stream with Apple TV.
From the app’s main menu, select Live TV to browse available channels. You can scroll through the guide, search for specific networks or jump directly to what’s currently airing.
Live TV streams in real time, making it simple to keep up with news, sports and scheduled programming.
The On Demand section lets you browse movies, shows and episodes available to watch anytime. You can search by title, browse by category or pick up where you left off.
Because everything is in one app, switching between live programming and On Demand content feels seamless.
Pause Live TV is a helpful feature for everyday interruptions, whether you need to answer the door or step away for a moment. Temporarily pause a live program you’re watching in the Spectrum TV App, then resume playback from where you left off.
