discovery+ Account

Follow these steps to get started. 

STEP 1

Log into your Spectrum account

Go to Spectrum.net/discovery and log in.

STEP 2

Activate discovery+

On the next page, click “Get Started.”

STEP 3

Enter your email address

After tapping "Get Started,” you will be redirected to discoveryplus.com. Enter an email address. 

STEP 4

Create your discovery+ account

Enter your information to create your discovery+ account.

STEP 5

Start streaming

After filling in your information, you are ready to start streaming!

discovery+ gives customers unlimited access to more than 70,000 episodes of 2,500+ current and classic shows from the most beloved TV brands. Customer-favorite personalities like the Irwins, Jonathan and Drew Scott, Chip and Joanna Gaines, Bobby Flay, Ree Drummond, Guy Fieri, Giada De Laurentiis, Lieutenant Joe Kenda and so many more - all in one place.

And discovery+ is home to the definitive collection of award-winning natural history series, including exclusive streaming access to the BBC’s largest natural history offering, featuring shows like Planet Earth, Blue Planet and Frozen Planet.

Access to the discovery+ app is included in the following Spectrum TV plans:

  • TV Select Signature & TV Select Plus

  • TV Platinum

  • Grandfather plans Gold, Silver, Preferred, and Standard

Customers visit Spectrum.net/discoveryplus and select “Get Started.” From there, they will be redirected to discoveryplus.com and follow the prompts to create their account. Once their account is created, they can download the app or visit discoveryplus.com anytime to steam programming.

Customers can stream discovery+ on phones, tablets, computers, TVs, streaming players, set-top boxes, and game consoles. Find a full list of supported devices at help.discoveryplus.com.

Once activated, customers will be able to log in and create up to 5 profiles for everyone in the household, as well as set parental controls, save programming to a Watch List, and more! Customers can stream on up to four devices at the same time.

Yes! Customers can upgrade to an ad-free plan by Managing their Streaming Apps at Spectrum.net and logging in with their Spectrum username and password.

If they already have a discovery+ subscription and they’re billed directly through discovery+, they will need to activate their new subscription through Spectrum. Once they’ve activated the new subscription through Spectrum, their existing discovery+-billed subscription will automatically be cancelled. If their current subscription to discovery+ is billed through another provider, they should visit the discovery+ Help Center for instructions on how to manage that subscription.

Streaming services occasionally adjust their pricing, but Spectrum covers those changes for included apps - so there’s no extra cost passed on to you. That means you can enjoy your favorite entertainment in one place, without worrying about surprise increases or managing multiple subscriptions.
